The SONORAN overt tactical vest is set up for your choice of two I2 soft armor packages, HTHG2 or MCHG2. Both soft armor models are listed as HG2 under NIJ Standard 0101.07 on the NIJ Compliant Products List (listed under HighCom Armor and Impact Innovations). The vest carrier itself is not an NIJ-listed item and provides no ballistic protection on its own. Check the listing at nij.ojp.gov/cpl.
Designed for military and law enforcement professionals, the SONORAN tactical vest is a modular, mission-configurable platform engineered to support dynamic loadouts and evolving operational requirements. Featuring laser-cut MOLLE, rapid-change panels, flexible armor integration, and a thermoformed ventilated interior, it delivers optimized performance, durability, and sustained comfort for the end user.
The laser-cut MOLLE exterior provides configurability to the mission requirements. Removable front and back MOLLE panels allow for quick configuration changes to meet the evolving requirements of the user. The adjustable cummerbund features internal and external mounting options as well as accommodation for soft and/or hard armor. Front and back compartments accommodate hard armor via top or bottom loading for pre- and mid-mission adjustability. The thermoformed, anti-microbial, vented interior combines durability and comfort.

Soft Armor Packages
This carrier is offered with one of two soft armor packages listed on the NIJ Compliant Products List (NIJ 0101.07, HG2). Each package is a soft armor kit sized to fit the SONORAN in the size you select (Small through 2X-Large):

The SONORAN carrier itself provides no ballistic protection. Soft armor packages are rated NIJ 0101.07 HG2 (handgun threats) and are not rated for rifle threats. Hard armor plates are not included.
